Sometimes it’s difficult to find out which mental illness may be causing your symptoms. But taking the time and effort to get an accurate diagnosis will help determine the appropriate treatment.

Diagnosis requires piecing together several components and influences of an individual’s entire life. It requires advanced knowledge of how brain chemistry affects moods, thoughts, and behaviors. And it requires a thorough understanding of human growth and development, and abnormal psychology.

Inland Empire Mental Health Group clinicians and specialists  use specially designed interview and assessment tools to evaluate a person for a mental illness. The doctor bases his or her diagnosis on the person’s report of symptoms — including any social or functional problems caused by the symptoms — and his or her observation of the person’s attitudes and behavior. The doctor then determines if the person’s symptoms and degree of disability point to a diagnosis of a specific disorder.

We are committed to collaborating with caregivers, family members and other healthcare providers to coordinate an individualized treatment program. Our program offers programming five days a week based upon the Integrated Continuum of Care model, need, symptoms, level of functioning and goals of treatment. Treatment is focused upon meeting the individual needs of each client, and can include medication review and monitoring.

We invite attending physicians and case managers to contact us to discuss referral requirements.

Our provider panel is comprised of Psychiatrists, Psychitric-Mental Nurse Practitioners, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and Marriage & Family Therapists. Our providers are experienced in working in a variety of environments, including Inpatient, Outpatient, Nursing Home, Group Home and Board & Care settings.

We accept self-referrals as well as referrals from attending physicians and case managers.

We have a multidisciplinary group comprised of mental health professionals committed to providing inclusive care to all persons needing and requiring treatment.

The successful treatment of psychiatric illness requires the expertise of committed professionals from different disciplines working together to meet the needs of clients with often radically divergent conditions and treatment requirements. Our treatment team was formed to meet the needs of these clients and to simplify the process of obtaining mental health care.
