Hamza Aziz, MD

I was born in Cairo, Egypt, and completed all my undergraduate and medical school education there. I wanted to be a psychiatrist since I was in high school. My father taught psychology and sparked my interest in the field. When I came to the United States I was fortunate to have had the bulk of my training in a residency program affiliated with Case Western University in Cleveland. My first job after residency was with a community mental health clinic in Michigan, where I stayed for more than two years. I moved to California after my first baby was born.

I was raised in India, and then moved to Ohio, where I did my residency and fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic. I then came to Southern California to join Kaiser.

About my practice

I am a board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. I love working with my patients to improve their health. I take pride in working for Kaiser Permanente. I have always believed in being a team player, and feel we achieve the best results when we work together. With that regard, I like to engage my patients in their health, help them to understand the disease process, and work together as a team with them in achieving the desired results. I strive to treat my patients as I would my own family.
